Construction of the Bristol Aerospace Centre at Filton will now proceed, following the announcement of a £4.7-million Heritage Lottery Fund grant on 28 November 2014. The project is led by the Bristol Aero Collection Trust, and centres on two listed First World War hangars described by English Heritage as "the most complete of any in existence". The centre will tell the story of the aerospace industry in Bristol from 1910 to the present day and into the future. Exhibits from several important heritage collections will be on display, with a new building housing Concorde G-BOAF, the last British Concorde to be assembled at Filton. Other aircraft to go on show will be Bolingbroke RCAF 9048, which is being restored locally, replicas of the Babe Ⅲ and F.2B Fighter, Sycamore HR14XJ917, the twin-engine, tandem-rotor 173 XF785 on loan from the RAF Museum, and the nose of prototype Britannia G-ALRX.
