'Dunkirk' film goes into production

Warner Bros revealed at the end of May that its big-budget movie 'Dunkirk' had started filming in France. Directed by Christopher Nolan, who also wrote the screenplay, the drama revolves around the evacuation of the city as France falls. It has newcomer Fionn Whitehead in the lead with strong support from the likes of Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy. One Direction singer Harry Styles is also on the cast list. According to the official plot summary, the movie "opens as British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in."
