Flabob Airport in the Los Angeles basin of southern California is hosting a Douglas DC-3/C-47 fly-in from 19-21 May. Eleven such aircraft are already committed, with more expected. At Flabob, access to the flightlines will be provided and all the aircraft will be open and accessible. Many will give rides, and all will be encouraged to take to the air during the event. Seminars and presentations are due to be given by current Dakota pilots and maintainers, as well as military and airline veterans. A beer garden will be open with food, music and the opportunity to mingle with aircrews and fellow Dakota aficionados.
