Training the Right Stuff - revisited

In the November issue, we reviewed 'Training the Right Stuff' by Mark A. Frankel and Tommy H. Thomason, published by Schiffer - a weighty tome on the aircraft used to train US military jet pilots. While generally praising the text, we did remark on the low-resolution images used throughout the book. Since then, Schiffer has kindly advised us that a number of copies sent out for review purposes suffered from a production problem. Receipt of a replacement copy demonstrates that, in fact, the photographic content is first-rate in terms of extent and quality. So, three stars rather than the two we gave before. Useful, recommended - if still pricey.
