An interesting load was picked up from Wilson Field, Nairobi during July 1965 in the form of de Havilland DH51 VP-KAA Miss Kenya, which was collected by Richard Livermore and crew in XM103 for onward transit to the Shuttleworth Collection. Miss Kenya was the first aeroplane to fly in the African country and is still airworthy at Old Warden, with original registration G-EBIR. Livermore's Beverley transported the DH51 the short distance across Nairobi from Wilson Field to Eastleigh on 1 July 1965; it was then flown in an unknown 'Bev' to Khormaksar. Miss Kenya made the long haul from Khormaksar to Abingdon in XM108, arriving on 19 July. That particular Beverley was returning to Britain for overhaul by No 32 MU.
