There has been no shortage of titles published this year to mark the RAF's centenary, although many are of a generalist nature and cover familiar ground. Now for the good news: here we have something different. A joint venture between the RAF Club and BAE Systems, this volume illustrates the history of the RAF using the art collections held both by the club and by the company. The paintings are reproduced — and well reproduced — one to a page, while the accompanying text is as concise and informative as you might expect from Dr Michael Fopp, who for 22 years was director-general of the RAF Museum.
