The first of a range of glass-fibre reinforcements with sizings that are tailored to work well with specific resins has been introduced by 3B of Battice, Belgium. The company, which specializes in glass fibres and associated technologies, says it has developed the fibres specifically for use in the blades of wind turbines, and it worked with designers, weavers and blade manufacturers in order to create the best possible composites for these applications.
