Red Bull and Schoeller unveiled their jointly-developed Taurex finishing technology at Outdoor in Friedrichshafen, Germany on 20 June 2017. Red Bull's AlphaTauri clothing brand is using Taurex in its Energy Wear sports garments, and claims that the finishing technology increases the physical and mental capacity of the wearer. According to AlphaTauri, Taurex reflects far infrared (IR) radiation generated by the wearer, which "promotes circulation and increases oxygen levels without disrupting the body's natural microclimate". This is said to result in improved wellbeing, increased concentration, reduced fatigue and faster recovery.
