摘要

The paper studies an optimal tuned mass damper (TMD) for multi-degree-of-freedom systems (MDOF) subjected to excitations of harmonic, white noise, first order coloured noise and second order coloured noise types. In case of harmonic excitation, the objective of the investigation is to determine TMD parameters so that the weighted sum of the amplitudes of components is to be down to its lowest possible value. In other cases, the objective of the study is to minimize the weighted sum of response mean squares of components in the primary system.
