A mobile ad-hoc is a continuously self-configuring, infrastructure-less network of mobile devices .The wireless mobile nodes are dynamically and arbitrarily located forming a temporary network without the use of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration where the nodes are capable of changing on a continuous basis. Multi hop wireless mesh networks are increasingly becoming a new attractive wide communication paradigm. The routing protocol design is critical to the performance and reliability of wireless mesh networks. This paper talks about the Associativity Based Routing Protocol (TIGABR) which is a compromise between broadcast and point-to-point routing. TIGABR maintains routes for sources that actually desire routes using Associativity ticks .In this protocol routing decisions are performed at the destination (DEST) and only the best route will be selected and used while all other possible routes remain passive. Hence, avoiding packet duplicates. This paper presents a novel, and optimal efficient routing protocol which provides increased throughput, reduced end to end delay designed specifically for use in multi-hop wireless ad-hoc networks of mobile nodes.
