First Example of a Third-Generation Liquid-Crystalline Carbosilane Dendrimer with Peripheral Bent-Core Mesogenic Units: Understanding of 'Dark Conglomerate Phases'

摘要

The first third-generation carbosilane-based dendrimer with bent-core mesogenic units at the periphery has been obtained. The investigation of this compound has significantly contributed to an understanding of the special properties of the whole class of Si-containing bent-core LCs.
