A Global Share-a-Thon ISDC~® 2015 Highlights Three Student Contests

Three student competitions were highlighted at the 34th International Space Development Conference~®(ISDC~®) on May 20-24, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Toronto, Canada. More than 300 students and 60 teachers from six countries shared their winning designs and artwork in the NSS/ NASA Ames Space Settlement Contest, Roadmap to Space Settlement International Student Art Contest, and International SunSat Design Competition. In the NSS/NASA Ames Space Settlement Contest, students used poster and 10-minute oral presentations to share the latest in space settlement design and technology development. Students envisioned settlement designs throughout the Solar System: around asteroids, moons, planets, in low-Earth orbit, and at LaGrange points. Poster sessions ran daily for two hours every afternoon, and students interacted with attendees by sharing their projects and learning about science and technology from experts around the world.
