Police repeat warnings as copper thieves target acr companies

POLICE forces around the UK are advising companies to be on their guard following an increasing number of copper thefts. While thefts of copper cables continue to hit the headlines, acr companies are also being hit. Just last month 280 coils of copper tube, worth around £7,500, were stolen from an acr distributor in South Wales. The thieves apparently removed wall cladding to gain entry. Meanwhile, North Wales police this month urged workmen to safeguard their equipment following a spate of copper piping thefts in the area.
