Techniques for Electronic Resource Management: TERMS and the Transition to Open is the latest published monograph by Jill Emery, Dr. Graham Stone and Peter McCracken focusing on electronic resource management in libraries. Building on research started by Emery and Graham in 2008, the authors worked with librarians around the globe to elicit input and feedback to define TERMs attributes and highlight TERMs best practices while keeping in mind both concerns of librarians and staff in the field and the rapidly evolving landscape of electronic resources. While adhering to the original six-part matrix of the previous 2013 Library Technology Reports work, the content and structure of each section of TERMS is fundamentally changed in this volume. Core chapters correspond to the updated components of TERMs-Investigating new content for purchase and addition; Acquiring new content; Implementation and troubleshooting; Ongoing evaluation and access, and annual review; Assessment; and Preservation and sustainability.
