Over the past 12 years, the ACM Transactions on Applied Perception (TAP) has provided an archival forum for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computer science and experimental psychology, publishing high-quality papers that jointly expand the state of the art in each of these fields. Thanks to the visionary leadership of our outgoing editors-in-chief, Carol O'Sullivan and Roland Fleming, and the dedicated efforts of our editorial board members and authors, the journal has achieved remarkable success over the past 6 years. A significant milestone was the successful application for an impact factor for TAP, which started out at 1.447 in 2009 and has assumed an overall annual average of 1.017 over the past 7 years (2009-2015), with a 5-year impact of 1.27. In addition, TAP has managed to sustain an average turnaround time of less than 57 days from submission to first decision, measured over the past 12 months, with an average acceptance rate of 37% over that same time period.
