Panel Connections for Precast Concrete Infill Walls

The connection of discrete concrete elements to each other is often required in precast construction and in the rehabilitation of existing structures. Connection methods that can eliminate or reduce connec- tion hardware between discrete elements my provide an economic advantage, as well as reduce overall construction time and inconve- nience. Fourteen specimens were tested to evaluate the connection between adjacent precast wall panels and to determine minimum details for satisfactory connection performance.
