The 2008 Top 100 Firms: A glowing review

Mortgage lenders in trouble, bank loan officers and underwriters paralyzed with fear, TV screenwriters on strike, Britney Spears skipping out on yet another court date — with so many players in the economy having finished last year on sour notes, and the economy itself looking awfully wobbly, we were a little concerned that this year's Top 100 Firms report might bring more bad news. After all, we ended last March's edition of the report wondering if the profession's top firms would be able to continue their long run of strong growth.
