Tempus fugit. There's no doubt about it. How fast is less certain. We've come a long way since Galileo discovered that the period of a pendulum swing is uniform in time and we can now measure the passage of time to within one 10-billionth of a second. That's phenomenally accurate;though how accurate depends on how you define your units of measurement. After all, a billion can be either one thousand million or one million million.
