It is time that every company reviewed its relationship with its auditor. The audit world has suddenly started to change quite rapidly and most clients may not have noticed this fully yet. But it is important that audit clients and customers understand the changed circumstances as soon as possible. Action will need to be taken. To put it bluntly, the Big Four audit firms have lost the plot. These last few years have seen an astonishing increase in the amount of regulation which companies have had to comply with.
