Large UK companies pay more in corporate taxes on the wealth they create than their European competitors, according to a government study.On the other hand, they are outstripping them when it comes to creating wealth, says the Value Added Scoreboard research by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. Companies add value by introducing innovative products, selling more existing products and reducing the costs of bought-in items.
