Gerald Russell, a senior partner at Ernst & Young, is to be the institute's new vice president. He came top in a council vote last month, beating fellow council members Ian Hayes and Paul Wagstaff. He will take up the position in June when current institute president Richard Dyson stands down,Joining Clark Whitehill chairman David Furst,who becomes president, and former Deloitte partner Martin Hagen,the new deputy.
