摘要

Both the BBC and Guardian newspaper got in touch with me over the space of a week, asking whether people should pursue their dream jobs. I said that doing something you feel genuinely passionate about is even more imperative during a downturn. If your organisation's overlords need to make cuts, who do you think they're going to keep? The people who are so enthusiastic about their jobs they almost can't stop themselves from working or the ones who do it because they need a way to pay the bills? So how fired up are you about your job? On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is 'I wish I could be doing just about anything else' and 10 is 'This isn't a job - this is my life's calling and I'd do it for free', where would you put yourself?
