The ICAEW is to award honorary membership to Wang Jun, China's vice minister of finance, who has been instrumental in leading the republic's accounting, auditing and governance reform.rnA champion of convergence of new Chinese accounting and auditing standards with International Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards on Auditing, Wang Jun has alsornbeen the driving force behind institutionalising internal control and corporate governance good practice for mainland enterprises in China. He has also led the internationalisation of the Chinese accounting profession and been a strong advocate of the agreement between the ICAEW and Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants to develop joint training programmes in China.
