The finance director of a collapsed property company who splashed out company money on himself and his wife has been expelled from the ICAEW. Clark Wilfred Ray, of Erinaceous Property Management, was also fined £8,000 and ordered to pay costs of £7,836 at a disciplinary tribunal. Between 2005 and 2007, Ray used company money to pay off a finance agreement of nearly £2,000 on a car owned by his wife, Maria, while allowing her personal use of a fuel card belonging to Erinaceous. He also spent £44,393 on a company credit card for personal use, while using company money to order a garage door, windows and kitchen equipment.
