The Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants is this year celebrating its 140th anniversary.The society, the oldest in the country, was formed in 1870 by'14 gentlemen engaged in accountancy'. It is one of the four founding societies of the institute and represents over 4,000 members living and working in the district.
