MIRRLEES TAX REVIEW CALLS FOR BALANCE

The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has recently published the finalised Mirrlees Review. The objective of the review, which was conducted by a number of international experts, was to identify the characteristics of a good tax system for an open, developed economy and to assess the extent to which the UK tax system conforms to these ideals.
