Chartered Accountants' Hall played host to a group of influential Chinese accountants as part of an ICAEW-organised exchange visit aimed at exchanging business ideas and development opportunities. The 29 - all heads of leading Chinese accountancy firms - were given a tour round the building which is regarded as the birthplace of the profession in Britain. 'It is fantastic to have the opportunity to visit the place where chartered accountancy was born over a century ago,' said Jason Yu, managing partner of Zhonghui CPA, a member of the Kreston International network. 'In China, the profession is only 23 years old but we face the challenge of training a generation of leaders who can help drive forwards one of the world's fastest growing economies. 'We also need to ensure we have a generation of future leaders who understand international standards and who have access to the latest technical information.'
