ICAEW is looking for members who would be interested in filling vacancies on some of its quasi judicial committees. In particular, it needs volunteers for the Investment Business Committee, which is responsible for undertaking ICAEW's duties as a regulator under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The work largely involves reviewing Quality Assurance Department reports on visits to firms that hold a designated professional body licence, as well as the firms' responses, and deciding if further regulatory action is required. Meetings are held three times a year at Chartered Accountants' Hall and last two hours.
