Throughout Susie Farnon's childhood in Guernsey, she always dreamed of becoming a professional showjumper. But then reality set in, she qualified as an ACA and, instead of brushwood fences, found herself overcoming rather different hurdles - and probably more successfully. 'The truth is that I think I can ride really well in my head/ she admits, 'but actually I'm a much better administrator than rider.'
