The National Audit Office (NAO) is to investigate larger tax settlements, following publication of a review of HMRC'srngovernance procedures for resolving large tax disputes.rnThe latest review will examine five of the largest tax settlements to determine whether the settlement value was reasonable in the circumstances and that the settlement was consistent with HMRC's litigation and settlement strategy.
