AVERAGE SALARIES HIT £60K, SAYS CIMA

Salaries for qualified management accountants and part-qualified students have risen well above the national average, according to the latest CIMA survey. Pay rates are up by 13% and 9% respectively compared to last year's figures, significantly higher than the UK average pay rise of 0.2% in 2012, cited by the Office for National Statistics. CIMA's research shows UK members are earning an average of £60,655 in basic salary, plus £6,055 in bonus payments, with part-qualified CIMA students taking home on average £34,309 (basic salary), plus £1,836 in bonus payments.
