A version of the form 64-8 has been produced that distinguishes between an agent operating a payroll on behalf of a client and an agent that is dealing temporarily with other, non-payroll, PAYE and NIC matters. It enables an employer to appoint different agents to each function and should end previous confusion when agents assisting with employer compliance checks found they were suddenly inundated with payroll documentation.
