CODING NOTICES

Hmrc is currently issuing coding notices for 2014/15 to collect Class 2 NICs that it believes remain outstanding despite attempts to collect them by issuing reminder letters to self-employed earners. This is the first time that Class 2 NICs have been collected through PAYE. The process may well flush out details of self-employments that ceased long ago.
