Pyogenic spondylodiscitis of the lumbar spine related to anastomotic fistula after surgery for esophageal cancer: a case report

Refractory anastomotic fistula was observed on the 60th day after esophagectomy. Debridement of the necrotized tissues was performed. Salvage reconstruction with the free jejunal autograft (arrows) was performed. The jejunal artery and vein were anastomosed to the right transverse cervical artery and the right internal jugular vein, respectively. The pectoralis major muscle flap (arrows) was used.
