BackgroundThe incidence of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) has been increasing worldwide. We investigated the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with Siewert type II and III AEGs and clarified the optimal intra-abdominal lymph node dissection in these patients.
