Prevention in the mental health field should be implemented synergically at different levels

Fusar‐Poli et al1 present a comprehensive preventive framework for improving mental health in young people. Prevention in psychiatry is not a high funding priority, which is also reflected in the relatively low number of publications in the field. The responsibility for primary prevention and mental health promotion is placed in the social and educational sectors and, most often, the evidence base for initiatives is lack­ing.
