CORR Insights®: High Pelvic Incidence Is Associated with Disease Progression in Nontraumatic Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head

It is important to understand factors that may portend the prognosis of patients who have osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH). Various demographic factors such as age, associated risk factors, and duration of symptoms may be prognostic [2]. With the appropriate use of this knowledge, we can advise and offer evidence-based treatment suggestions for these patients, such as whether they should undergo joint-sparing or joint replacement procedures.
