Artificial intelligence in inflammatory bowel disease: current status and opportunities

In the past decade, artificial intelligence (AI) has been applied in several clinical studies to improve the medical care of patients with gastroenterological diseases, to accurately detect polyps and early cancer lesions, to facilitate the analysis of inflammatory lesions, to assess liver fibrosis, and to predict the response and clinical outcomes of medications.
