This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of thoracic epidural anaesthesia combined with general anaesthesia versus general anaesthesia alone for reducing either the clinical outcomes or shunt fraction consequent from the establishment of OLV.
