This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Diagnostic test accuracy). The objectives are as follows:To compare the diagnostic accuracy of chest ultrasonography (CUS) by frontline non‐radiologist physicians versus supine chest X‐ray (CXR) for diagnosis of pneumothorax in trauma patients in the emergency department.
