Raoultella planticola bacteremia-induced fatal septic shock following burn injury

BackgroundRaoultella planticola, a Gram-negative, aerobic bacillus commonly isolated from soil and water, rarely causes invasive infections in humans. Septic shock from R. planticola after burn injury has not been previously reported.
