For many common malignancies, including breast cancer, evaluation formetastatic disease using multiphase computed tomography (CT) has fallen outof favor and been replaced by studies performed only in the portal venousphase. However, differences in tumor vascularity could produce differencesin appearance on post-contrast imaging.
