摘要

With the efforts of several generations of scholars,Chinese research on Middle Eastern issues has gradually matured.Entering the 21st century,especially that after the“Arab Spring”broke out in 2011,Chinese academic circle have begun to focus on the political democratization and authoritarianism in the Middle East and has produced more and more conspicuous publications.This book is not a plain chronicle of Middle Eastern history,instead,based on a deep acquaintance with literature and the perspective of comparative politic,it presents a grand narrative of political development in the Middle East.
