Palpation during examination and diagnosisisi mportant for Japanese style acupuncture and moxibustion.Duringthe process of exami-nation and treatment the therapist touches the patient’s skin,perceives its condition and decides the treatment location. Then thetherapist continues to touch the skin of patients during treatment to grasp any change ,and according to the level of change ,he canadjust or finishing the treatment .I think this process of nearly constant palpation is one of the points which characterize Japanesesstyle acupuncture and moxibustion.
