Improving drinking water quality is one of the major objects of many drinking water plants recently.The upgrading of the treatment process for advanced purification is often undertaken while the water plants are still in service and the reconstruction of the water plants must be implemented under the existing site conditions,because most water plants are limited with land acquisition and cannot stop production during the upgrading.In this retrofit design,a suitable treatment process was determined via pilot tests.The upgrading and reconstruction are divided deliberately into two stages to ensure that the normal operation of the plant is not affected.Under restricted land availability condition,the conventional treatment process is upgraded to include advanced treatment processes and a sludge treatment unit,with reserved space for UV disinfection.This design effectively improves the water quality of the plant and achieves the project's goals economically.%提高自来水厂出水水质是近年来国内各大现状水厂的主要任务之一.由于大多数水厂受到征地有限和无法停产改造等限制,因此需要边改造边生产,且利用现有场地条件进行深度处理改造工程建设.水厂通过中试确定了合理的工艺,分期分步骤改造确保了水厂的基本生产运行不受影响,在十分紧张的场地内改造了常规净水工艺,增设了深度处理和污泥处理工艺,预留紫外线消毒的处理流程,有效地提高了水厂的出厂水水质,较经济地实现了工程的目标.
