磁体几何尺寸对环形会切场离子推力器性能影响研究

     

摘要

Series of ion thruster product with different diameter,as a kind of magnetic field confining plasma equip-ments,magnetic circuit has important effect on the ion thruster’ s performance. In this study,finite element software MAXWELL was used to simulate the magnetic field topography produced by different size of magnet,then the effect of different size of magnet on the thruster’ s performance was studied.the obtained results indicated that,when the maximum value of the closed magnetic contour was kept 50 G,larger thickness-to-width ratio magnet has produced larger field free region,and this was good to the thruster’ s beam flatness,thus the thruster’ s performance could be improved.%不同直径的离子推力器系列产品,为磁场约束等离子体设备,磁路结构对于离子推力器性能有重要影响。文章介绍了利用有限元模拟软件MAXWELL对不同尺寸磁体产生的磁场位形进行模拟,进而研究不同磁体几何尺寸对离子推力器性能的影响。结果表明在闭合磁场等值线固定为50 G的前提下,较大厚度/宽度比的磁体产生更大的无场区体积,有利于离子推力器束流平直度的改进,从而提高离子推力器的性能。
