Similar to alkaline pulping, absorbent cotton was cooked by alkali in this experiment. This paper introduced the experiment conditions. The effect of different metal ions (K + , Mg2 + , Ca2+ and Fe2+) on alkaline degradation of cellulose was studied. The copper ethylene-diamine ( CED) method was used to measure the viscosity of absorbent cotton pulp, then the degree of polymerization (DP) of the cellulose was derivated. The results indicated that K* promotes alkaline degradation of cellulose in a certain degree; however, Mg2+ , Ca2+ and Fe2* have the opposite effects on the absorbent cotton fiber.%在不同金属离子存在的条件下,对脱脂棉纤维进行了碱法蒸煮,并测定蒸煮后棉纤维聚合度.结果表明,K+在一定程度上会促进棉浆中纤维素的降解,而Mg2+、Ca2和Fe2+在一定程度上抑制了纤维素的降解.
