Yu Haiyan, born in Shifang County in December 1963, is now the head of Mianyang Song and Danee Ensemble. In her fifteen-year stage career, she has performed over one hundred different plays. Among them, “Cottonrose hibiseus”,“Continuation of the Story of White Snake” and “The Good World” are the ones she is especially good at. Yu Haiyan has given performances in Russia, France, Switzerland and Hong Kong for many times. Her perfect performances enjoyed a high reputation abroad. In 1996, she was appointed the head of Mianyang Song and Dance Ensemble. Under her leadership, the Ensemble paid special attention to both the perfecting of art works and the serving of art for the country people, which makes the creation and performance of the Ensemble full of vitality.
