古典自由主义者对自由主义理论进行了积极的探索，为自由主义的传播与发展，做出了建设性的贡献。但随着时代的发展，其理论的自身缺陷及消极的社会影响也逐渐显现。为了克服这些弊端，以涂尔干为代表的思想家引入社会分工、法人团体、有机团结等社会学知识，对古典自由主义理论进行改造，并使其发生一定程度的转向，从而，推动了自由主义的新发展。%　　Classical liberals has carried on the positive exploration on the theory of Liberalism, And made constructive contributions.for the dissemination and development of liberalism.
