The development trend of polyester production technology at home and abroad in recent years was introduced, of which the major technologies are short synthetic process technique, clean production technique, and techniques of recovery and living resources utilization which are environmental protective, safe and energy saving for polyester industrial chain. This paper pointed out that industrial restructuring was the focal point of sustainable development, and more attention should be paid on development of polyester fibers for production of household and industrial textiles.
